Hello and a big Happy New Year to you all! So how's 2017 treating you so far? For many people, the period after Christmas and the New Year is quite demoralising for various reasons ranging from the weather to the realising just how hard you've hit the credit card in the last month. Well in Ischia and Italy in general those post-festive blues can be put on hold for a few days as there's still one big event to come. Tomorrow, January 6th is Epiphany and a national holiday in Italy. It's celebrated in a very similar way to Christmas but the main tradition centres around "La Befana", a well-intentioned witch who delivers nice (usually edible) gifts to good children and slightly rubbish ones to anyone who's been a bit naughty recently. So wishing you all a Buona Befana! Back soon :-)

Could you tell me if there are any specific events in Ischia during the first week of September 2017 such as festivals/parades. Many thanks
