 Kite Festival on Maronti Beach Afternoon folks. It's that calendar flipping time again as we say arrivederci to June and buongiorno to July. It's very much a typical July day as well, steamingly hot and sunny and at this time of day the only place to be is on the beach or beside the pool. Right now at 4pm it's 28° Celsius (82° Fahrenheit) and we're just coming towards the end of the sleepy afternoon spell before the island lurches back into life. It's around about this time on a Friday that you start to see private boats and yachts sliding into position to grab the best spots around the beaches such as Citara and Maronti in particular and just as I write this I can see the first one moving into place. It's going to be even hotter tomorrow and for the week that follows with sunshine all the way. Back tomorrow. Ciao :-)
