 Parrocchia di Gesù Buon Pastore, Ischia Porto Good afternoon from a slightly chilly and very windy Ischia. The wind has been battering the island all morning and a quick glance out to sea will show you hundreds of white horses galloping over the waves. The temperature right now at lunchtime is 10° Celcius (50° Fahrenheit) and feeling quite chilly with the winds which are gusting at speeds anywhere up to 26mph (42 kph). This again spells trouble for anybody crossing between Ischia and the mainland today with delays likely and in the case of the hydrofoils, the chance of cancellations. It is however, nice and sunny and with all of the Christmas decorations still up there's a collective sparkle to the whole place.
