 La Scarrupata, Barano Afternoon all. Well the wacky world of weather in Ischia continues today. It's a bank holiday Monday with many shops and businesses closed but it hasn't really been a day where the locals could pass the time on the beach. This morning we had a mixture of cloud and sunshine with some really strong winds making the sea look almost more white than blue. Then about 2 seconds after I decided to go shopping it started raining (not good when you're on a scooter) and lasted until the exact moment that I stepped indoors again. In fact I won't go out again as I don't want to spoil it for everyone else so as it is now at 6:30pm, bright and sunny with a temperature of 17° Celsius (63° Fahrenheit) it shall hopefully stay! The next few days promise to be dry and not quite so windy. Back tomorrow. Ciao :-)
