 San Francesco Beach, Forio Evening all. We're into the last few hours of what's been a very busy July with perhaps an even busier August about to follow. Strange as it may sound, the island becomes even more Italian during August - during each of the other months of the summer season there's a distinctly more international feel to things here but with August being the one month when many Italians get the chance to take their annual holiday, most of them head for the coasts and islands with Ischia being one of the very favourite traditional destinations. Right now at 8pm it's 28° Celsius (82° Fahrenheit) but there are some mixed forecasts for the next couple of days, for the most part they should be sunny but there is the risk of one or two sudden downpours. We'll see tomorrow. Ciao :-)
