 Freshly Picked Olives in Ischia Evening everyone. It's been another damp day here in Ischia with intermittent showers throughout the day, very little sunshine and feeling slightly cold at times. Right now at 8:30pm for example it's just 14° Celcius (57° Fahrenheit) but things are looking better for tomorrow and the next few days. We're set for a sunny spell that should last at least until Monday and temperatures will be a bit higher too with around 18°C (64°F) expected. Anyone on the island at the moment might have noticed little trucks carrying olives around because right now is the time when they can be picked and used to make oil or left for a while to be eaten whole. To make a good quality oil you need around 10kg to make one litre so that lot in today's photo is worth around 6 litres! Back tomorrow. Ciao :-)
