The Snowcapped Mount Vesuvius seen from Ischia

Afternoon everyone. Well the big news from Ischia today is that it's been snowing! I get to write that roughly once a year and it may not happen again for the rest of winter so it's worth mentioning. It's not exactly a picture postcard white blanket covering the island, more the wet, sleety-type that doesn't settle but what it does show is that it's officially cold. Right now at 2:45pm it's 5° Celsius (41° Fahrenheit), damp and quite overcast. The forecasters are saying it's going to clear up later and also get quite windy but there's really no sign of either thing happening at the moment with the sea looking nice and calm. One place where the snow regularly settles is the top of Mount Vesuvius which is today's photo. Ciao :-)
