La Festa di Sant'Anna, Ischia Ponte

​Afternoon folks. We're once again basking in the sunshine on what is a devilishly hot day in Ischia. This of course is one of the most important days on the calendar for the island with its famous Festa di Sant'Anna spectacle due to take place around Castello Aragonese in Ischia Ponte tonight. Expect to see hundreds of boats crowding around the castle and thousands of visitors on foot, seeking the best vantage points to enjoy the show. If you happen to be on the island at the moment this is really something not to be missed, it's a hugely popular event with a spectacular firework display at the end. It's going to be a lovely, warm evening , right now at 5:30pm it's 28° Celsius (82° Fahrenheit) and tomorrow is set up very nicely as well for more of the same. Back tomorrow. Ciao :-)
