Beach Bar at Maronti Beach, Barano

Buona sera everyone. It's been a perfect summer's day in Ischia so far and the small threat of rain that was forecast seems to have been nothing but a figment of somebody's imagination or a miscalculation somewhere along the line. My thermometer seems to be permanently stuck on 28° Celsius (82° Fahrenheit) these days and that is indeed the temperature right now at 6:45pm. Between now and Friday we should see a repetition of today's conditions while the long-range forecast suggests there may be a shower or two over the weekend. Today's photo comes from Maronti Beach, the longest beach on the island and one of the most picturesque, particularly when viewed from above along the road that leads down to it from Testaccio.
