Morning folks! Things have got very chilly on Ischia, the temperature gauge is showing a reasonable 8° Celcius (46° Fahrenheit) but what it doesn't show is the wind-chill factor. There are some bitterly cold gusts of up to 32mph (51kph) sweeping across the island and the trend looks set to continue for a few days more. Despite that, there's a great deal of sunshine so the many visitors that have poured onto the island for the New Year celebrations over the last few days will be able to enjoy the pretty, winter scenery that Ischia provides. Today's photo comes from a florist in Ischia Porto, replete with Christmas flowers such as the poinsettia which are common in Ischia at this time of year.
