The Beach at Poseidon Thermal Gardens, Forio

​Evening everyone. So after about 3 weeks of almost uninterrupted sunshine and heat we've finally had something a little bit different today. As the forecasts suggested, the day started with some rough seas and then took a turn for the worse with heavy rain showers, thunder and lightning. All of this (apart from the thunder and lightning no doubt) was gratefully lapped up by the local plant life but not held in such high regard by anybody on their holidays. We've seen a huge drop in temperatures today as well and right now at 6:30pm we're all sitting here shivering at a mere 22° Celsius (72° Fahrenheit). It appears that the weather boiler will take a few more days to crank  up to its previous levels but the improvement starts tomorrow and will continue until Monday. Ciao :-)
